ESPA at the g won Gold in the Best Hotel Spa category of the 2014 Irish Tatler Magazine Spa Awards as well as Highly Commended for our ESPA Fitness Massage.

For the third year running, The g Hotel has been selected for a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award in 2014. AA Five Star Award – 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
We are delighted to announce that the g has been selected as an AA 5-star hotel. We joined an elite group of only 12 other AA 5 star properties in Ireland and only 2 AA 5 star properties in Connacht. Particularly impressive, the g Hotel attains the award less than two years after joining the AA Accommodation Grading Scheme.

Two AA Culinary Rosettes – 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
Restaurant gigi’s is the proud holder of 2 AA Culinary Rosettes and is one of just three restaurants in Galway to be distinguished by the grade. To secure 2 AA Rosettes, Restaurant gigi’s impressed the AA inspection team with their skillful cookery of quality local ingredients. The AA team also praised the very personable service, highlighting it as one of the important components in their awarding of 2 AA Rosettes.

Each property is specially selected for its dedication to the highest standards of comfort, unique personality, warmth and service, impressive facilities and surroundings. Every featured property is approved for recommendation following an annual inspection by the Conde Nast team of local experts.

Travel & Leisure – January 2010
The g Hotel has just been awarded as the top hotel in Ireland on the prestigious ‘Travel & Leisure 500 World’s Best Hotels’! Travel & Leisure and its website www.travelandleisure.com is the long-standing body in the tourism industry with the most affluent audience of any travel magazine across the globe. The g hotel stood alongside the impressive London West Hollywood Hotel in California, The Halekulani in Hawaii and Domaine des Hauts de Loire in France to name only a few, highlighting the calibre of properties on the influential list.

Travel & Leisure – August 2009
The g Hotel has just been chosen by the Travel & Leisure World’s Best awards as it’s only Irish hotel and ranks it 12th in the most popular “Large City Hotel’s in Europe”. Scoring a remarkable 87.00 on a scale out of 100, the g was the only Irish property selected in the entire category. Travel & Leisure and its website www.travelandleisure.com is a must read for today’s travel enthusiast. The calibre of properties was immensely high with the g standing alongside the Grand Hotel Baglioni, Bologna, The Ritz in Paris and the Westin Palace in Milan!

Best Connaught Hotel – April 2009
The five star g Hotel has been named the Best Connaught Hotel April 2009 at the inaugural Irish Consumer Travel Awards which took place last night at the RDS Ballsbridge. The g triumphed in a category which included Ashford Castle, the Galway Bay Hotel, The Radisson Galway and Renvyle House Hotel. The g Hotel was also nominated in the best Hotel in Ireland Category along with The Shelbourne, The Four Seasons, the Ritz Carlton Powerscourt.

IBPA Award – April 2009
ESPA at the g is celebrating winning Best Spa Therapist at the ‘Irish Beauty’ Industry Awards. Spa Therapist Irene Kenning, won in a highly competitive category against other five star hotels including The Ritz Carlton, The Europe Hotel and The Heritage. The awards are the premier showcase for the best of the professional Irish Beauty Sector. ESPA at the g also received the award for Spa Manager of the year in April 2008.

Conde Nast Award – January 2009
The g hotel has just been named as one of the top three hotels in the world on ‘Condé Nast Traveller’ magazine’s Gold List 2009 for ambience and design, with luxurious five star hotel scoring a remarkable 96.01 on a scale out of 100, ranking it as one of the most unique hotels in the world. Adding to the excitement and esteem, the g is the only Irish Hotel included on the influential Gold List for 2009.
