Christmas Market Galway
17th Nov - 22nd Dec 2017
Christmas in Galway starts on Friday 20th November with a new format. It's never too early to plan your winter break and with Galway fast becoming the best Christmas Wonderland in Ireland, a midweek break or weekend escape to Galway may be the perfect answer to your winter blues.
The Galway Christmas market is based at Eyre Square with a 'Galway EYE' offering birds eye views of our 2020 European City of Culture, in addition to the foods & crafts and fun filled bierkeller. There will also be a family panto show in the Town Hall Theatre.
Building on the successful format of previous years, the Galway Christmas market will be a hive of activity with lots of entertainment from 17th November to 22nd December 2017. Among the many popular features due to make a welcome return to the market are the music stage hosting choirs and carollers, children’s workshops, amusements and of course Santa! Always a draw, the large German Bierkeller will return to the heart of the market offering a wide range of traditional fine German Beers. Over fifty traders from all over Ireland and Europe will be selling a host of crafts, festive food, treats and Christmas gift ideas, while the expected audience of up to 650,000 market-goers can also enjoy a live entertainment programme throughout the month-long event.
The Galway Christmas market is open 7 days a week and trading hours are 12noon – 8pm Mon – Wed and 10am – 10pm Thurs – Sun.
