There are three breathtaking Speciality Suites at the g Hotel in Galway from which to choose:
“Amazing! A true 5 star experience - Closest thing we'll ever get to being royalty.” (Frank Q )
On arrival we had the warmest welcome we've every had, any and all needs attended to and questions answered. We stayed in the Atrium suite and I really must say that it had to be seen to be believed the photos (or lack there-of) on the website really does not serve it justice. Those electric window blinds looking out over the water is straight out of a bond movie. The massive bathroom with two rain shower heads and the stand alone tub with a TV, all topped off with the fluffiest, cosiest dressing gowns I've ever encountered- comfort defined. We were only in the room 45 minutes when we were gifted a bottle of champagne by catering manager (perks of being in a suite I suppose). The staff really couldn't do enough for us, recommended where to see in the city and how to get there, even offering for us to phone them and they would send a taxi to collect us to bring us back to the hotel when we were done!
We had a meal in the restaurant on one of the nights, and I must admit I am not accustomed to "fine dining" type places, but the meal was exceptional, and I don't think you'd have found such attentive service in Buckingham Palace. The E-spa is on a completely different level to other spa's we've been to, again its like something out of a bond movie, some of the best facilities I've ever seen and for what you get in the spa its excellent value. On the subject of value staying the a speciality one of a kind quite (second only to the Evangelista (which I would give my little finger to get a look inside)), suite I would not call it a bargain get away, but we knew what we were signing up for going. For the level of comfort, service and experience we had it was worth every penny.
Myself and my partner really loved our stay in the hotel and the suite. If i had to find one black stain on an otherwise impeccable bip (and its a low dig) is that there was a tile in the bathroom that had cracked and would rock fractionally when walked on but like I say its the only crack in an otherwise flawless crystal that is the G hotel.
