Galway Christmas Market ( 16th November - 22nd December 2018 )
The Galway Christmas Market takes up residence in Eyre Square in the centre of the city again this Christmas season. The market promises to be a highlight of the Christmas Season and will make for a wonderful attraction for visitors young and old. Sample Christmas treats from all from around Europe including a Santa’s Grotto, a German bier keller, numerous gift and snack stalls and an entertainment area.
Galway Skates ( 18th November 2018 - 16th January 2019)
Galway Skates brings Christmas Ice Skating on a real ice skating rink to Galway City for Christmas 2018. Visitors can expect to see Galway’s Leisureland transformed into one of Ireland’s premier Christmas attractions with one massive 500m2 ice rink.

The Knights Before Christmas - Sunday 15th December
The A Capella Knights will host their fourth annual Christmas concert ‘The Knights Before Christmas’ in the Galway Cathedral in aid of Galway Simon Community. The Christmas special will take place at 7.45pm and will celebrate Christmas through a wide variety of festive music, dance and instrumentals, something for everyone to enjoy!The A Capella Knights will be joined by special guests Galway City Youth Choir, The Frenchville Brass Ensemble, The Hession School of Dance, and Galway Simon’s very own Galway Simon Music Project, to bring everyone a bit of Christmas spirit and cheer.

The COPE Galway Christmas Day swim is now in its 28th year and is held each year on Christmas morning between 10am and 1pm at Blackrock, Salthill, Galway.
