Summer in Galway is an amazing time of year in Galway. The winding medieval streets literally come alive with Irish traditional music, film, theatre, art, dance and street spectacle. In August we host the 'Streets of Galway' 8k Road Race which takes place on Saturday 12th August at 7pm. Over 3000 entrants will run through the city streets out to Salthill and back in along the prom to the finish in The Claddagh. BOat lovers will enjoy the many regattas in Connemara featuring the majestic Galway Hooker tradtional boats
Cruinniu na mBad Festival is one of the highlights of August and it takes place in Kinvara between 18th - 20th August this year. Over 100 traditional boats make for a stunning display - all just just 30 minutes drive from the g Hotel & Spa. Full of colour and life, Galway Pride Festival will be out and proud during 11th - 20th August 2017. Galway is such an exciting and inclusive place to live and our annual pride festival showcases the very best of our vibrant city. Not far from Galway, in Ennis we will see the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann take place - this is Ireland's largest celebration of Irish music and culture and well worth a day visit.
